VOL. 14 NO. 18 Thursday, October 18,1979 20 cents per copy
THIRTY AND THIRTY FOUR EQUALS FORTY EIGHT: Pictured
above are members of the 1945) graduating class from Farmingdale
High School, half of whom graduated from Bethpage Grammar
School four years earlier.
All of the celebrants have at least one thing in common; they are
all around forty-eight years old. The group met at Bethpage State
Park, scene of their Senior Prom, thirty years earlier.
The TRIBUNE was going to publish an old photograph of this
group, but as you can see, they are so good-looking now, it wouldn't
be fair to compare.
In fact, if they aged this well over a thirty-year period, just
imagine how they'll look at their next reunion when everyone will be
fifty-eight. Case in point, Ann Miller, who is dancing on Broadway
these days, is fifty-eight.

$2.5 million since the program started in 1944. The company sponsors
the program to encourage students in Nassau and Suffolk to pursue
technical careers within the broad scope of the company's activities.
In engineering, these fields include aeronautical, chemical, civil,
electrical, industrial or mechanical disciplines. In science, the
program covers applied mathematics, chemistry, computers,
materials and physics.

on hand for the occasion were Town Councilman Joseph J. Saladino (third from right). Kenneth S.
