YOUTH INPUT Congressman Norman F. Lent presented certificates
of appreciation to some of this year's YOUTH INPUT
Delegates. Selected by their high schools, these students meet during
the school year with Rep. Lent to express their views and the views of
their fellow students -tothe Congressman.

The 15th Pythian District of the Knights of Pythias has been
awarded the Eighth Annual "Friend of the Children" Award by the
Society for Goodwill to Retarded Children. The Award was presented
at the Society's April 21 Dinner Dance at the Galaxie in Plainview,
and was accepted on behalf of the Pythians by Edwin E. Altman,
Grand Chancellor of the New York State Knights of Pythias.
Local Pythian Lodges, including Commuter Lodge No. 833 (based
in Plainview, Hicksville and Bethpage), have been devoting a good
deal of volunteer time to the children at the Suffolk Developmental
Center.

who is both Past Chancellor of the Pythians' Commuter Lodge
and Past President of the Society for Goodwill to Retarded Children,
President Paula Rothstein of the Society, Pythian Grand Chancellor
Edwin E. Altman, and Commuter Lodge's Alan Gorelick of Bethpage.
Dr. Ralph Dolgoff (of Old Bethpage),
instructor, administrator
and author of social work texts,
has been named Assistant Dean
for Academic Affairs in Adelphi
University's School of Social
Work, Dean Joseph L. Vigilante
announced today.
He succeeds Dr. Fred Barbaro,
who will assume a full-time
teaching position effective
September 1, 1979, Dean-
Vigilante said.
Dr. Dolgoff had been Associate
Director of the Division of
Program Services of the council
on Social Work Education before
coming to Adelphi in 1977 as a full
time faculty member.
He has been a social work field
and classroom' instructor and
leader of numerous institutes and
'seminars sponsored by the
Adelphi School of Social Work.
He is co-author of "The
Practice of Social Intervention:
Roles, Goals, and Strategies"
published in 1972 and other books
on social work education.
Dr. Dolgoff earned his D.S.W.
degree at Columbia University
and MSW at Adelphi.
He has previously held
positions with the National
Jewish Welfare Board; Paul
Baerwald School of Social Work
of Hebrew University, and Bar
Ilan University School of Social
Work, both in Israel.
Babylon Chorale members prepare for "A Touch of Nostalgia", a
special feature of the Saturday, June 9th "Pop" Concert.
Karen Havighorst, Tom Rice, Edna Kaufman and Harold Dohn
rehearse their interpretation of the "Mamas and the Poppas".
Edna Kaufman of Bethpage has extensive experience with the
Chorale and the Grey Wig productions of Hofstra University.
Presently she is singing weekends at the popular LaStrada
Restaurant.

Councilman Joe Mondello, N.Y.. Assemblymen Tom Gulotta, Fred Parola, Levittown Chamber of
Commerce President Chuck Hinder with Joe Ferlise cut a roll of film in celebration of the recent
remodeling and enlarged studio. The new office and studio is three times the size of the old office and
studio; the plush carpeting and drapery give it a taste of elegance. Ferlise Photographers serve all
Long Island with offices in Levittown and Nesconset.. Joe Ferlise is Staff Photographer for the Bethpage
