EXPO 79: Jack Rettaliata, left, chairman of Long Island Loves

exhibition "Expo 79" scheduled to be held at Nassau Veterans
Memorial Coliseum on Sept., 16, 17. and 18. Joining with Rettaliata
are right, Suffolk County Executive John V.N. Klein, right, and
Hempstead Town Supervisor James D. Bennett, center. Over 200 of
the leading businessmen and government officials attended a press-cocktail
reception held at Grumman Corp. to help kick-off "Expo
79."
SWEET HARMONY - Hempstead Town Supervisor Jim Bennett (3rd
from right) and Hempstead Town Councilman Peter King (3rd from
left) join in harmonizing with a quartet from the Nassau Mid Island
Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of
Barbershop Quartet Singing in America during a rehearsal for the-upcoming
barbershop quartet concert to aid children with hearing
defects. Supervisor Bennett and Councilman King offered a
proclamation, proclaiming April "Harmony" Month in theTownito
(left-to-right) Peter Wiley of Merrick, Edward Ramsteck, Wantagh,
Stan Squirs, Bethpage and Leonard Balcome of Mineola. If you're
interested in some good old fashioned harmony, the "Barbershop"
concert will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 20, 21, at Maria
Regina High School in Uniondale, Phone 516-489-2644 for additional

RECYCLING PLANT TOUR: Hempstead Town Presiding Supervisor

Thirty three students from
Bethpage High School were inducted
into the membership of
the National Honor Society in an
evening ceremony at Antun's Old
Country Manor on Wednesday,
April 4.
Members were selected by a
Faculty council for meeting high
standards of scholarship, service,
leadership, and Character.
Students inducted were:

been selected to membership
More than two milliqn dollars in
scholarships have been awarded

National Association^ of Secondary
School Principalis.
