Hundreds of Runners Participate in Bethpage Day 5K -
Tara Costa Run for Education & Fitness
And they're o f f ! Runners at the starting line of the Bethpage Day 5K, Tara Costa Run for Education
Overall female winner was Erin Silvering- Gray from
Leviitown with a time of 18: 42.
fhc overall male winner and first pkiee Bethpage resi-dent
was Daniel Kant. Daniel took home the first ever
" Bethpage Cup" with a time of 17: 18.

this event and we appreciate all their hard work!

nothing dreary about the turnout at
the first ever Bethpage Day 5K,
Tara Costa Run for Edueation &
Fitness. 517 runners registered for
this inaugural race with an impres-sive
459 making it to the finish
line.
The run which was organized
by Vic Macaluso and the Health
and Wellness Fair " which was
organized by Tara Costa, runner
up in NBC's " The Biggest Loser",
not only featured a fabulous race
and important information about
being healthy and fit, but also
raised funds for the Bethpage
Educational Foundation. This
Foundation was started last year
and was put in place to provide
programs, resources and grants to
the students and teachers without
using school district funds.
This was an amazing event for
Bethpage and thanks should be
given to all those who worked so
tirelessly to make it such a won-derful
success! Congratulations to
all who patriciate as well as all
those who took home awards!
