Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead and Miss Dancan left on Monday to apend the winter in Washington, D. C.
Mr. John R. Moore and family have left their home on Hewlett Ave. to apend the season in Manhattan.
Mr. C. 0. Colvin, oar local wagon builder, and his son Herbert had a de¬ lightful trip when they broaght home from the factory at Waltham, Mass., ander its own power, their new Metz 22 runabout. The Metz guarantees to climb the hills as fast as any car, re¬ gardless'of price or power and claima tbe greatest automobile efliciency at the least possible cost. The Colvins think that they gave the hill climbing and 6 to 60 mile speed powers of the car a most thorough test being on the road 14i hours actual running time and eoming through by way of War¬ ren, S. Coventry, Bridgeport and thence by terry to Port Jefferson and ao to Merrick. Mr. Colvin informs as that he and hia son bave taken the Distributing Agency for this car for the aouthern half of Nassau County. The car is a four-cylinder water-cooled runabout, 1912 model, coating $495. This^^firice includes bigh tension mag¬ neto, top, slip cover, gaa lamps and generator, dash lamps, tail light, horn, set of tools and tire pump, with com¬ plete tire outfit. Mr. Colvin thinks the merits of the ear show themselvea at a glance and, fact is, it is a little daiay.

Meetingof the Woman's Aaxiliary on Thursday at 2:30 p. ro. and the Janior Anxiiiary on Satarday at 2:30 p. m. The Boys' Club meeta Wednesday at tbe close of aebooi. Mr. At the annual meeting of the Wo¬ man's Aaxiliary on Thursday the fol¬ lowing ofiicers were elected for the en¬ auing year: Pres., Mrs. Wm. Rhame; vice pres., Mrs. L. B.
