At a apecial meeting of the taxpay¬ era of the Eaat Meadow achool diatrict it waa decided by a vote of 28 in favor and 26 against that a new achool build¬ ing not to exceed the sum of fitfeen thousand ($15,000) dollars be erected.
It is rumored that a number of the inhabitants are desirous of purchasing a new site for this building, to be far¬ ther north, somewhere on the Bethpage Turnpike, and will petition the Board of Education to call a apecial meeting for the purpose of taking action on aame so they can have larger play grounds and have the achool located more central.
