Monday the trolley and steam boat lines toiNassau by the Sea carried two thousand two hundred and eleven peo¬ ple without an accident or delay of any kind. The service after four o'clock was increased to a car and boat run¬ ning every twenty minutes. Tt waa one of the greatest days in the history of thi^ resort and the day was perfect in every way for the pleasure seeking crowds who flocked here from all over.
The fireworks display by the Free- port Club took place Monday night on the strip of land north of the club house. A large crowd witnessed the exhibi¬ tion.

One of the handsomest boats seen in^ local waters for some time is the "Vir¬ ginia" owned by George Schilling of Brooklyn, which has anchored off the ^outh Shore Yacht Club for three days. ; this week, while the owner with two Quests were making a 'round the Island *trip. This boat is entered in two races this sumnier, one over a 285 mile course from the Crescent Club in Brook¬ lyn to Marblehead, Mass., and the other over a 244 mile course around L. I., from 104th St., N. Y-i, back to the starting point.

The Phi Alpha minstrel and dance at the Sigmond Friday night was a suc¬ cess in every way. The local Dock- staders kegt the pot boiling and every¬ thing went off without a hitch. George A. Lynch's song, "Pony Boy", the comedy work of William Camman, and our old time favorite John Searles on the job with his laugh making] stunts, all under the able direction of Harry R. Zeiner, pleased the audience from start to finish.
George Wintjen's new home on Columbus Ave. has risen Phoenix-like from the ashes of the old one gutted by lire last January. He has Seen to it that every improvement is installed, including ample fire protection.

The service after four o'clock was increased to a car and boat run¬ ning every twenty minutes. Tt waa one of the greatest days in the history of thi^ resort and the day was perfect in every way for the pleasure seeking crowds who flocked here from all over.
