Models And Hostesses
Sought For Fashion Show
Preparati<ni for the Second Annual Spring Tea and Fashion Show,
which is to be held on Saturday. March 18 at 2:00 p.nu Is well under
way in the planning.
The selection of models and hostesses has been going <m for several
weeks. Models for the show so far are Sharra Wolslegal, Suzanne

Hold Hi Soc.
Dance Mar.11
Inter - Dormitory Council will
once again be sponsoring the High
Society Dance on Saturday, March
II at 8:00 p.m. in Knapp Hall.
This year's theme will have the
FreiKh atmosphere of the Moulin
Rouge. To create this atmosphere,
Knapp Hall will once again tecon-verted
from the dining hall to a
nightclub by the use of $4,000
worth of plant material and in-terior
decorations.
Tickets are being sold in KnaK>
Hall by all Inter-Dorm Council
members and door prizes will be
given to the lucky ticket holders.
A gala assortment of refreshments
will be served in Knai^ Hall Lounge
throughout the dance.
Music for dancing will be
siqiplied by Dr. Ore and his 13-
piece dance band. Entertainment
during the show will consist of
the voice of Arlene Lorenzetti
phis many more surprise attract-ions.
Work for this dance is being done
by the members of Inter-Dorm
CounciL Co-chairmen are Gary
Knapp and B(d> Parlangeli; land-scaping,
Jim Sinatra; decorations,

This dance is for dorm students
<Mily. One person out of every
coiq)le must te a dormitory s^dent
to be admitted to the dance. Cur-few
for the girls has beoi ex-tended
until 1:30 p.m. that evening.
Tickets are $.75 stag and $1
per coiqple. They go on sale today.

WRESIUK6 TOURNAMENT
SET FOR THIS WEEKEND
The long awaited, 1961 National Junior College
Tournament, will take place this Friday and Satur-day.
All local wrestling enthusiasts are invited to at-tend.
The Aggies will be host to 14 teams in the tourna-ment
including defending national champion, Lamar
Junior College of Lamar, Colorado.
Other teams expected to participate include Bronx
Community College; Nassau Community College;
Rockland Community College; Alfred Agricultural and
RAMBLER STAFF MEMBERS are pictured above at first press run of the RAM-BLER
by the photo-offset process.Examiningthe high-speed presses are, L. to
R., Linda Smolkin, Managing Editor; Sancfy Larson, Reporter; Ed Everett, Sports
Editor, and Henry Jibaja, Editor-in-Chief. Use of photo-offset will permit fast-er
news coverage, more flexible publication methods, more photographs, and an
increased publication rate.

Exhibit
At Flower
Show in N.Y.
S.U.A,T.I, is being represented
this year, as last, at the Inter-national
Flower Show. This year's
exhibit will be shown at the New
York Coliseum located on Colum-bus
Circle at 59th Street and
Broadway. The Flower Show will
officially open on March 4th and
extend until the 12th.
Our university will be exhibit-ing
two garden displays. These two
desigas were chosen from among
those submitted by theOrnamental
Horticulture students ai the In-stitute.
A traditional garden was
designed by Raymond Rolfe. Mr.
Rolfe's garden design deals with
features of the past as opposed
to that of the second design which
is based on a theme of a con-temporary
garden. ThLs latter dis-play
was desiji^ned by Al Pascuil-lo.
Both of these students are sen-iors
majoring in Landscape De
sign.
The two designs were pre-set
as part of a class project by the
nineteen students in the Landscape
Oesign Department of the Orna-mental
i^orticulturee Curriculum.
These boys pre-set the displays
at the classrooms in Planting
Fields in Oyster Bay.

Preliminaries of the Tourna-ment
will be held on Friday night
at 7:30 p.m.
Semi-finals are scheduled for
2 o'clock Saturday afternoon and
the finals at 8 o'clock on Satur-day
evening.
All sessions will be held at the
Weldon E. ffowitt High School gym
in Farmingdale.
Adult spectators "All Session^"
passes are avaUable at the Farm-ingdale
Institute or from Farm-ingdale
Kiwunians for two dollars.
Separate tickets are 75 cents for
the preliminaries andsemi-linals,
and $1 for the finals.
Childrens' and students' tickets
are available at the door for 25
cents each session.
