Election Disaster Psycho Night At The Paradise Lounge Are you being fairly represented?
By Karen Musgrave
Editor-in-Chief
So many students are uninformed or mis-informed
for that matter. The Student
Government Association (SGA) is set up
according to the constitution to? "maintain
academic freedom, academic responsibil-ity
and student rights'to stimulate and
improve students cultural, social and
physical welfare, allocate spending of
mandatory student activity fees, create
student services, represent students
concerns to administration and act in the
best interests of the student body." (page 1
SGA constitution and bylaws) Now,

potential campus leaders to fill SGA
positions, and to review fully funded unit
and SGA stipend level positions twice a
year to determine whether the person has
fulfilled his^er job responsibilities.
Members of this board are appointed by
the Vice President and approved by the
President. The Vice President chairs this
board.
There have been many inconsis-
- tencies and questionable actions taken by
this board. But, the biggest mistake,
according to students, was the decision to
not have a revote in an election that
disqualified almost every candidate,
AFTER the elections were held. One
student, who asked not to be named said,
"SGA and ELB are full of corrupt cliques
of people. It makes me sick to think that
they're getting away with this."
There were four candidates
running for president. They were Peggy
Joseph^Clyde Vanel, Greg Hannington,
and Will Su-oman. Now, in order to run,
the absolute first thing you must do is go
to the Election Leadership Board, or to the
