MEET THE SENIOR BOARD
Aggie Mascot at Homecoming
Campus Plays Host To Alumni
At Homecoming Events
This year's Homecoming was enjoyed by both Alumni and
students of the Institute. Some of the highlights of the day
were the football game between the Aggies and Post College,
the float contest, the Alumni banquet and the Homecoming dance.
Though the football game was
won by Post, the cool autumn
day was warmed by the hearts
of the fans who cheered their
teams, prompting them to fight
with overwhelming spirit. The
ram, led around the field by two
cheerleaders, added the finish-ing
touch to an exciting after-noon.
The floats were paraded for
judging and reviewing during
the half of the football game.
As the floats assembled on one
end of the field, the announcing
of the winners took place. First
place was awarded to the float
submitted by the National Asso-ciation
of Gardeners. Second
place honors were taken by the
Sputnik Float by the Building
Construction section. The Dairy
Industry section won t h i rd
prize.
All floats entered were great-ly
appreciated and thoroughly
enjoyed by all.
The Alumni Banquet was
highlighted by the speech deliv-ered
by Dr. Medesy and the
singing of the school chorus,
headed by Mr. Witherspoon.
This entertainment, plus the
good food, brought forth a good
time for all who attended.
The Homecoming Dance held
in the Gym, climaxed a very
busy and wonderful day for the
alumni and the L. I. A. T. I.
students.
Longhair Anyone?
Mr. Lovell, of the Art Depart-ment,
has started a series of
concerts for everyone on campus
interested in classical music.
This program, called The Sym-phony
Hall Concert, is currently
being held in Room 15 of the
Commercial Building on Fri-days,
from 12:00 to 12:55.
The purpose of these sessions is
to give students the opportunity
of hearing fine music while they
eat lunch or do their homework.
The conductor, Mr. Lovell, ori-ginated
the idea of having these
concerts because his design stu-dents,
who listened to classical
music during their classes, want-ed
to hear more of it.
The first session was held on
Friday, November 8. Included
in some of the concerts have
been Moonlight Sonata, New
World Symphony and Clair De
Lune.
A special Christmas program
is being planned and requests
are welcome.
Here are ground rules: No
gum cracking, celery eating, pop
corn or stamping of the feet!
Charlie Watt, Senior TAA, is
a quarterback on the L.I.A.T.I.
Football team and a favorite

year, and NOMA. He plans
to continue his education after
graduation from the Institute.
