WHAT DO STUDENTS WANTf °
compiled by Eleanor Cavley
The F^rain^dale Press
queried a number of students
on cakpus as to what
iftproveaents they would like
to see at the college.
Alexandra Andriopoulos.
age 37, is a rtturning
student studying Business
Adainistration. On her first
day of school here at
fkraingdale, Alexandra had a
difficult tint finding
anything on campus. "There
aren't enough signs to tell
you where to go,' said
Alexandra. **They should have
a very large sign at the very
beginning of campus with
arrows pointing to the
direction of buildings." Joe
Laifsaoui, age 26. is also a
returning student studying
Business Administration. Joe
is presently taking six
at night, and his
complaint is that

Brian Shea stated. "I would
like the school's gym to be
open to the public during
school hours. I hate traveling
home to attend the gym I

Eathleen of Helville. states
that registration is a very
time consuming process at
Fkrmingdale and gives her
much stress and anxiety when
that time comes around. "Many
of the classes I wanted to
take were closed. If the
college knew exactly which
teachers were able to teach
what course and exactly at
what time, registration would go much smoother and would
e less aggravating to the
students at F^rmingdale."
Samantha. a commuter ftom
Deer Park, had suggestions
for change. Her mam concern
was the number of class
cancellations Last semester

wants a more effective grocess in the Financial Aid

loan to come in his
registration was cancelled. He
feels there is "a lack of
communication" because there,
was no word from Financial
Aid and he could mot get an

Andrea said. "I would like
to see the parking spaces
closer because 1 come to
school alone. It is hard when I
have a class after it is dark
to walk alone 1 get very
nervous."
Brian Culan says."I was
thinking of possibly

some of the old buildings on
campus. I am an architect
