On Wednesday, August 28, Governor Mario Cuomc
named Dr. Frank Cipriani, president, to head the com-mittee
charged with finding an ash dump site for the
region's municipal incinerators.
Dr. Cipriani will serve as chairman of the Long Island
Regional Ashflll Board. The Governor also appointed
former state assemblyman Angelo Orazio of Albertson to
serve as a board member.
The panel has until December 15 to find a 200-acre site
where ash can be dumped from municipal incinerators
across Long Island.
