GREETINGS FROM THE S.G.A. PRESIDENT
Hi! Welcome to SUNY Farmingdale. My name is Thomas Braunstein and I am the Student Government
Association President for the 1985/86 academic year.
As a student leader on campus, I take great pride in our student activities and I feel that this year, with your help, I
can get many things accomplished to benefit all students. Every student has the opportunity to become involved in
any number of activities whether it be a fully-funded unit, a co-curricular club or athletics.
A fully-funded unit is one of six student-run organizations for which the Student Government Association
provides total funding. They include the Campus Activities Board, Rambler newspaper. Islander yearbook,
Interdormitory Council, WATC Radio Station and the Backstage Theatre Company. In addition, the SGA provides
funds for Intercollegiate Athletics and the operation of many special interest and curriculum clubs on campus. The
large variety of clubs and organizations at Farmingdale are the perfect way to get involved and make your college
years more enjoyable. If you fail to become involved, you will miss out on a part of your life which you can never
recapture. So - become involved - this is your school and your life and only you can ms^ke the best of it
If you have any questions or you want to get in touch for any reason, do not hesitate to stop in at the Student
Govenment Association or Student Activities Offices in Roosevelt Hall. I will be more than happy to assist you in
any way I can. ^
