Dear Freshman:
Congratulations and welcome to Farmingdale. At this time
I would like to give you a brief history about the Discover
Farmingdale Program, and why it is worth it to participate.
The program was started three years ago based on what
seemed to be the need of the incoming freshman. The main
purpose of the program is to have you become more familiar
and at ease in an informal setting. This is just one phase of your
orientation to Farmingdakj more information about
registration/orientation will be mailed to you soon.
I hope you enjoy your orientation day, and you are able to
obtain all answers to any questions you have. Thanks for
today's program.
Sincerely,
Aileen McHugh
Co-ordinator of D.F.
O
Welcome to Farmingdale. . .
Our campus is big and exciting. There is much to take from
us and much to learn. At the same time, we would like to take
and learn from you. Discover Farmingdale is an important part
of your orientation program.
You will see your new campus and meet some of the many
people who are here to help you succeed at being a college
student here at Farmingdale. Most importantly, you will be
spending the most time today with students. These are special
individuals who have taken a lot of time in planning and
staffing the program.
The main objective we all hope to achieve is that you will
realize just how important you are to us here at Farmingdale.
After all you are the first and the key word in Student
Activities. Student Affairs, Student Government, and Student
Orientation.
We are all here for you so welcome and become part of us.
We need you.
Have a good day.
Get ready for a good freshman year, and best of all good luck
for all the best here at SUNY at Farmingdale.
Michael D. Mitura
Director Student Activities! College Union
Dear Freshman;
I am delighted to extend to you a cordial welcome to
Farmingdale College. One of the greatest advantages of
Farmingdale is the activities.
The Student Government distributes the necessary funds to
various clubs and organizations. This helps to establish the
wide variety of activities available for you to enjoy. I urge all of
you to participate in the clubs of your choice. Please take
advantage of these activities. It is a wonderful way to meet
people and learn what's going on at your college.
