NEW WATER FACILITIES
READY FOR DEDICATION
The new recently completed water facilities at the Water
Works Plant at 315 Eastern Parkway Farmingdale will be
dedicated and officially put into operation by Mayor Joseph
Zureck and the Board of Trustees of The Incorporated Village
of Farmingdale on Saturday, July 16 at 10 a. m.
A new pump house, a half- million gallon overhead water
tank with a new deep well and transmission lines were installed
at a cost of $ 385,000, financed with a bond issue.
Congressman James R. Grover will be on hand to take part
in the dedication ceremony and will present to Mayor Zureck
and the Board of Trustees two flags which have been flown
from the mast over the Capitol in Washington D. C.
Superintendent of Public Works Hugh Newman and the Village
Highway and Water Department crews have completed
the foundation planting of trees.
Residents are invited to attend the ceremonies and inspect
The continuation of Conklin Street through Republic Division
of Fairchild Hiller to New Highway, which has been closed
since 1941 for security reasons was opened last week for
