Meadow Brook Bank
To Open New Branch
At Wantagh Station
Permission is Granted
- After Two Years Wait;
WiU Be Fourth Office
The Meadow Brook National
Bank, Which currently has offices
in Kreeport, Mearick, and West
Heonpstead, has been granted per-mission
to open a branch office In
Wantagfa. Notification of approval
was received this week from the
Office of the Comptroller of the
Currency in Wastoinstan, DJC., by
Augustus B. Weller, President of
tihe bank.
In announcing the Bank's plans
to .oipen a branch in Wantagh. Mr.
Weller said, "We have been work-ing
for nearly two years, in co-oper-ation
with representatives of the
Wantagh Chamber of Commerce,
doing the necessary research to
establish the fact that the ever-increasing
growth of this area has
made banking facilities a local
