under those for 1949 when the
receipts amounted to $65,104.40 and
the paid attendance numbered 349,-

50,654 persons "respectively. Free
events such as the Legion's Soap

000 persons.
Receipts from (the stock car and
midget races totaled $33^43.83 and
from concessions $16,608,16, the bal-lance

TThree yearns ago .the various struc-tures
jised by concessionaires were
erected by the New York Sports

the understanding this amount
would be amortized in th?ee years
from the receipts of the Stadium.
Thus final payments were made last
year and the^oulldings are now own-ed
by the village free, and clear.
The new racing season will get
underway toward the end of April.
Stock cars will be featured, Twlth oc-casional
midget races, and it is un-derstood
Jake Kedenburg, *he pro-motor,
plans to experiment wiUh a
new type of racing oars smaller than
the midgets. Negotiations for other
attractions are also in progress.
The receipts will be used to pay
off certain village obligations and
any money left over will be placed
in the Village Treasury to reduce
the 1B91-53 budlget and tax rate.
