Eddie Vasil's Friends Raise
Fund For Christmas Present
Kncourging news on the progress Eddie Vasil is making
in the Meadowbrook Hospital following a heart attack last week
was received this week as Freeport organizations and friends of
Eddie started- a fund for a Christmas present to let him know
they are rooting for his speedy recovery.
The Christmas present idea was launched at the pa.rty of
the Freeport Community Choral at the South Shore Terrace
Monday night and was quickly taken up by local business men
and personal friends.
Eddie's family reports that his physicians say he should
remain in the hospital for a while as the best insurance against
risking a recurrence-of the attack by becoming active too soon,
Many friends have visited Eddie, in the hospital since he was
taken there last Wednesday a week ago.
Anyone interested in participating in the Christmas present
for Eddie may obtain the details from The Leader.
