Appreciation Over
Overwhelming Response
More than 1,800 Frqeport residents
have volunteered to serve In various
capacities of the Civil Defense or-ganiza^
lon, chairman Cyril c. Ryan
announced * today. He predicted
that the total would be more than
2,000 when all the.voluniteers have
been listed.
'This was truly an overwhelming
response on tha part of Freeport's
resident?." Mr. Ryan added, '"and
