County Sealer of Weights and Meas¬ ures Frank Wooil made a tour of Val¬ ley Stream ami I.ynbrook during the latter part of iast week and confiscated 67 measures of various kinds while making only eleven calls.
Nearly-ail of tbem were of the liq¬ uid variety, an.! while many of them used for molasses, vinegar, etc., were found short, most of them were seized as tbey were being used fcr the meas¬ uring of dry articles such as beans, peanuts and the I'ke. ,

The briiie's gown was white satin trimmed with pearls and real lace, and a white tulle veil and she caned a b(>ut|uet of wiiite roses and lillies of the valley. The maid of honor wore pink satin, embroidered, and carried pink roses: bridesmaids, jiink satin trimmed with yellow .Maniuiseite; carried bouipiets of yellow chrysanthe¬ mums. The church was prettily decor¬ ated with iialms, ferns and yeilnw chrysanthemums, as was also the resi¬ dence.

Tomnrrow. it is announced is the last day for securing tickets for the annual dinner of the Nassau County Firemen's .Association, to be held at the Garden City Hotel on November 16, at nine o'clock.
