Had we our issue of .March 21 to write over we wi uld have eliminate.i our remarks about .Mr. Bosca's real es¬ tate transactions as we s'nce learne.! that he had bought and .soki real estate, and this gave our contemporaries a chance to dodge the main is.sue regard¬ ing the capabilities of the two men running for ofTice. The mere fact of his having been an officer in a realty company did not make him a real es¬ tate expert though, by any means, any more than an officer in a printing com¬ pany must be a printer.
According to the Brooklyn Eagle .¦\. B. Wallace is "being boomed" for the office of Police Captain. It reminds me of a similar case in a neighboring village, where a man was running for an office. lie also happened to be the rejxirter for a metropolitan paper which had this item: "XYZ is being urged by his friends to accept the otfice," etc. ; while a local paper in the same village remarked, "XYZ is makir.g an earnest effort to secure the nomination but it is doubtful if he will succeed."
