Now that tho eiectricity is on all liuy the lights mu^t be turned off and on morning and night or the village wastes a lut of current. rest, or time for more wnrk. The priC'- for this convenien:e makes it somewhat of a luxury at liresent but the village board will i robably reduce, the rate soon so that people desiring to run larger motors can alTord to do so.
While on this subject there might be time to remark that the price for gas makes that in ideal jiower under ordin¬ ary circumstances. The manager of Murray Bros, printing plant has two gas engines, and he inlornis me it costs him about 2c an hour to run a press whicii if costs about .''ic an hour to run by electricity af [resent rate.
Each melhod nf ninviig machinery has its adv.iutages and I have no doubt each concern will lind the demand for its service lonstantly increasing.
Again, incidenfa.lly, when I wanted to gel my motors, I looked in the local papers to see if there were any electri- ciai s in the town. I fnuiid one adver- tisii g tliire and got his price on the Wnrk, and immediately gave him the order, and I think he has given me a gooil job. .As this is nol an aihertis- ing column 1 wil not draw any infer¬ ence legarding .¦ulverl;sing paying.
