Minute Men Organizing
At a largely attended oii'i-tinjr of the Minute Men, held at the Freeport Club House Tuesday vveninir, Frank fj, Holland, of the County Commit¬ tee, stateii that immediate steps would bc taken to outfit and equip a 90m- pany of 100 men from Freeport, and as niaii.v more as could afford to se¬ cure their own eiiuipment, pendinjr the passage of an .\ct by ilie Lo'-jir • lature which would makv the outiit- tinK of the men a public charfre. In the interim, several wealthy resiilents of the ('ounty bad iruaranteed the e<iuipriient ofa limited number.

Proposals will be received for furn¬ ishing- suitable quarters for the l-'ree¬ port F'ost Oflice. Proposals to be sent to "(J. .M. Brown, Post Otfice Inspect¬ or, Brooklyn, N. Y.," on or before April -ir^, 1917. Not less than l!)0(t square feet of floor space to be re¬ quired. Locatitm near business cen¬ ter and within HO rods of railroad de¬ pot, are points for general considera¬ tion. Specific and other inforniation, necessary to be considered in submil- linir proposals, may be obtained from T. Benson Srnith, Postmaster, or from llie Po>l Olfice Inspector.
The quarters now used are inade¬ quate for the ;rrowin}r business, hav- in)f from 1100 to, 14011 square feet. It is anticipated that when this lease is made provisions will be included for adequately screeninir off the front so that there cun he, an open lobby for benefit of patrons rentinir boxes.
