Altboagh the ibembership in the Nassau Coanty Firemen's Association has dwindled to about half ita original nuniber, and the crowd was not as large as nsaally attends sach events, the toarnament of the Nassau County Association at Valley Stream Wednes¬ day saw several records broken in the contesta, and the affair can be conaid¬ ered a saccessful one.
While many questioned the wisdom of Valley Stream trying to handle a crowd and affair of the size of this one, the fact remains that it was well handled.

On Tuesday moming the members of the Village Board of Trusteea, and the Village Clerk, were served with injunctions restraining them with go* ing ahead with the work of putting a storm aewer on Brooklyn Avenue, con¬ necting with the brook east of Main Street, which work was begun within the last few days.
Tbe injunction is made by James Hanse, as aa interested property own¬ er, as he claims this will be a detri¬ ment to his property, through which the brook runs.
