I say it reveren understood. One liay last week ;. Woman was shot in Dr. Ci.rmiin's of¬ fice, in coid bloo.l, and Airs. Carnmn admits, because of a more or le-s .'-troiif', chain of circumstunliHl evidence, she is susp'tcted of the crime. '] husj of us wi'io h'ave known .Mrs. Carnmn for a decade or more do not join in tiii- sii.-- picion, because we knov.' her to be ii woman above reproacli.
Circumstances are .idmitttidlyV against her, but they could have been ' e.|ually against any one of several others and it is mimifestly unfair to believe all of the misleading state¬ ments iiiijieuring in the city nei-vspa- pers.
The District Attorney is working carefully on the case, and if he can find evidence sutlicient tu convict a pers-in of the crime, the guilty person, woman or man, must suffer. In the meantime, every fairminded honest person will withhold judgment until the evidence is in.
