Freeport Fire Department was well represented at the annual convention, parade and tournament of the South¬ ern-New York Volunteer Firemen's Association at College Point this week, Tuesday, Wednesday and yesterday.
At the business meeting Wechesday the following officers were elected: President, L. B. (Jreen of Patchogue; first vice-president, Ferdinalid Frisch- korn of Brooklyn; second vice-pr^.si- dent, A, Ii. Wallace of Freep(^rt; secre¬ tary, Joseph H. Downing of Brooklyn; treasurer, Philip Peters of Maspeth.
The invitation to com(> to Freeport in 1910 was accepted, there being no other name presented to the conven¬ tion. The Freeport delegates went to the meeting all prepared to work if necessary, with posters and circulars booming the benefits of going to Free- port, and silk ribbons for all the .Jele- gate.-', jirinted :
