Work is advancing rapidly on the new Bellmore School and the building, as it nears completion, shows that is indeed to be a credit to the place, and to the Trustees who hadijthe building in charge.
The entertainment given in Fire¬ man's Hall Wednesday evening under the auspices of the Ladies' Aid So ciety of the M. E. Church was very successful financially and .Miss Grimm, the entertainer, was up to her usual high standard.
R. T. Wilmarth and family, who have spent the winter in Florida, re¬ turned to their home in this village Sunday. Mr. Willmarth reports a very pleasant time. He is now hard at work preparing for a busy season at his High Hill Beach resort.
At a special meeting of the Smith¬ ville South School District, held fn the school house on Wednesday evening it was voted to expend $18,000 for a nev/ school house.
