The funeral services of Mra. Phoebe Valentine were held in the M. E. Cburch Saturday afternoon. Rev. S. O. Curtice, pastor, officiating, with in terment in Greenfield Cemetery.
Mra. Valentine waa 70 years of age and was a native of Long laland, hav¬ ing been born in Merrick. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mra. Samuel Seaman. About 44 years ago she was married to John Valentine and has lived practically all her married life in Freeport. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at East Meadow and this village for over 50 years. She was always a regular at tendanl at the M. E. Sunday School until illness prevented.
Mrs. Valentine is survived by two sons. Frank, of Springfield, Mass., and Oscar, of this village; two stepsons, John of Freeport, and Ulysses, who is apending the winter in Florida.
