The "shop early" slogan is a good one, but it is believed that the motive is not altogether a philanthropic one. The business men are behind it. Football
Last Saturday afternoon the ^"ree- port Town Football Team played the most exciting game of the season and held the Hollis Field Club to a 0 to 0 score at the Hollis grounds. An un¬ usually large crowd of spectators wit¬ nessed ths game and although the weather was very cold, all stayed to the very enC. When the game first started the field was wet and muddy from thawing, but by the second half it had become so cold that the ground ' was frozen tight and the field was as hard as pavement.
In the first (juarter Hollis kicked oflT and Freeport ran the ball back to the middle of the field. From there they worked their way to the Hollis 40-yard line and then lost the ball on downs. Hollis started back the field and had i
