A motor cyclist, name unknown, while participating in a run, collided with a milk wagon on the Merrick Road Tuesday morning. His nose was broken, face cut and some bruises in¬ flicted. He was attended by a physi¬ cian and resumed the run.

Freeport Club defeated Springfield Saturday afternoon at Freeport Ath¬ letic Park. It was too bad they did not have a good team for their opjion- ents as they played fine ball, while their o{)i)onents acted as though they were asleep. A seven inning game was played, Freeport winning by the score of 14 to 3.

Mr. and Mrs. Bedell Cooper cele¬ brated their fifth wedding anniversary Wednesday evening. Their home was beautifully trimmed with ferns and roses. Leo Sneider of Brooklyn had a nar¬ row escape from drowning at Wood¬ cleft channel Sunday. He was in bath¬ ing and got beyond his depth. He yelled and Arthur Murray started to his aid but was rapidly becoming ex¬ hausted himself, when his brother, Matthew Murray, came to their aid and assisted in bringing Sneider ashore. He was unconscious but heroic treat¬ ment by Dr. Miller soon brought him around in good shape.

Work is going on for the Fair and Carnival of the Freepiort Fire Depart¬ ment. Among the latest additions on the midway are merry-go-rounds, cane throwing games, etc. The fair will include almost everythi:ig saleable.

A bountiful suppper was enjoy¬ ed in the dining room which was most beautifully and artistically decorated with crepe paper, ferns and roses.
