Here they are...the Class of 2007making their way onto the Bethpage High School Football Field!
Bethpage 1 [igh School celebrated the Class of 2007 with its Commencement ®®?*
Exercises on Sunday, June 24. While the staff of Bethpage honored the approximately
250 graduates of Bethpage High School, students took time to thank Senior Class
advisors Linda Candela and David Rodriguez.
Valedictorian Russell Kraner and Salutatorian Nicole Stadnicky gave their respective
addresses, reflecting on the past four years and wishing their classmates well for
the future. Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto was the keynote speaker and
praised the grads for their achievements, and making their parents, and the Bethpage
community so proud. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Richard S. Marsh also spoke, as
did Student Council President Melissa Owenburg. Ramiro Barbuzano Jr. was Class
of 2007 President and also won the Outstanding Student Leader Scholarship Award
for 2007, presented by the Nassau County High School Principals' Association.
As it does every year, Newsweek Magazine rates the top 1,000 high schools in the
country, using performances on Advanced Placement courses/exams as a primary
indicator. Bethpage High School is ranked 512 out of more than 27,000 public high
schools in the country. Congratulations to the Class of 2007 and all of the students
that make the Bethpage School District so proud!
