Happy 80th Bethpage Public Library!
It is hard to believe that our beloved Bethpage Public Library is
celebrating its eightieth birthday this year! Eighty years of serving the
community of Bethpage. Eighty years of educating, informing and
helping the young and young at heart of our community. Since 1927
when the Bethpage Public Library opened her doors until present day
it is safe to say that there have been many changes and innovations
made throughout those years. And while there have been many
changes that have taken place one thing remains the same and that is
the commitment that our library has to serving the community of
Bethpage and each and every resident that walks through its doors.
The Bethpage Public Library is a wonderful, top notch facility
which is utilized by so many residents and we are sure that as time
continues our library will continue to grow and expand and most
importantly will continue to serve the community.
Let's take a look at some of the changes that have taken place over
the years as well as a timeline of the Bethpage Public Library. In looking
at its impressive history we all can get a glimpse as to what our
community was like during the past 8 decades.
