Pictured above is the plaque which was given to Mr. Essig from the
National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
Bethpage resident and business owner Robert Essig was recently honored
by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and
Reserve with being named a "Patriotic Employer". Essig has always made
sure that his employee Harold Rivera and Army Reservist, was able to complete
his call of duty and have a job waiting when he returned. 'These brave
young men and women are doing such an important job for our country. I
feel it is the least 1 can do to insure that he always has a job waiting for him
when he returns" stated Essig.
Essig was presented with this prestigious honor on June 15, 2008.
Congratulations to the 2008 11 year old NJBL Champions! Charlie Marino led
the team to a first place victory, with a record of 12-2. The team will be moving
on to various tournaments this summer. Hats off to all! We wish you all the best.

Dear Readers,
It was brought to our attention that recent issues of the
Bethpage Tribune were arriving late to our subscribers. We are
so sorry. Do to internal delivery problems (this had nothing to
do with our friend at the Bethpage Post Office, who do a fabulous
job for us each and every week) the Tribune was inadvertently
delivered late. We have made some immediate adjustments
and are hoping to be right back on schedule this week.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused
and are making every possible effort to have the Tribune delivered
to your home on time. Some things are worth waiting for
and while that may be true for the Tribune we owe it to our
readers to make sure they don't have to wait to receive their
hometown newspaper.
We thank you for your patience and loyal patronage. Above
all we thank you for your support and dedication.
Your Friends at the Bethpage Tribune
