A ST. PATTY'S DAY PARADE LIKE NO OTHER
i 8 St. Patrick s Day Parade A Huge Success
The Luck '() the Irish was with us on Sunday bringing blue skies, sunshine and a
slight wind - perfect conditions for the 17th Annual Bethpage St. Patrick's Parade.
What a parade it was! Led by the Nassau County Mounted Police, Veterans of
Foreign Wars Color Guard, the Bethpage High School Band, Grand Marshals Connie
Doolan and Matt McGrorty( pictured above with Congressman Peter King), the
pageantry, the music, the various attractions brought smiles and cheers from the hundreds
of folks lining the parade route.
Gabe Mickey and Ed Mulhcarn provided the music lor dancing back at LaSalle
Regional School. The Inishfree School of Irish Dance dazzled everyone with then" quick
steps and later, the American Celtic Pipes and Drums played a set of martial tunes. A
great time was had by all.
We should be proud of the generosity of the businesses in Bethpage and the residents
who help finance this annual event. A list ol donors is attached Then gcncrosiix lor this
parade, the summer festival, Street fan. Memorial Day Parade and holiday lights
enhances our sense of community, ,. , ,• , 1;
