Vol. 44 No.45 Proudly serving the communities of Bethpagc, Island Trees, Plaincdge, Plainvtew, Old Bethpagc, Hicksville and Seaford DCC61Tlber 1 - 7 , 2 0 0 6 329 Broadway, Bethpage. New York 15714 5 0 C d l tS elebrating A Qr e a | Season!
Bethpagc Pee Wee Blue came up short in the Super Bowl, but played a great game against Plainview. The final score of 7-6 shows what a defensive battle it
was. Thanks are sent to all the coaches as well as team Moms for all of their outstanding work. Te players are a special group of boys who had fun and wroked
very hard. They started their quest on August 1st and finished on November 26th. What a long season!! They practiced two or three times a week and also
played a game, this all mixed up with school and other activities required a tremendous amount of dedication and sacrifice for their team. Parents shoudl know
that we appreciate all their effort and hard work to allow this to happen. The boys will be missed and we can't wait to see the returning boys next season! We
are so proud of you and all that you accomplished this year! Happy holidays and thank you again for a memorable year!
Bethpage Chamber of Commerce Invites Community to their
in i IIIII mini iiiiiinmiiinmi'11 iiniiiiiii MI Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony
The Bethpage Chamber of Commerce is busy preparing for their Annual
Holiday Lighting Ceremony, which is being held this Sunday, December 3
at 6:00pm in the center of town on Broadway.
As always the Chamber is making sure that Bethpage is decorated in true
style with our traditional street decorations which include lighted garland,
snowflakes and wreaths. Of course, this Holiday Lighting Ceremony will
include the lighting of our beautiful Menorah as well as our gorgeous
Chirstmas tree, which comes to us compliments of our friends at Emifs
Garden Center! The Chamber will also be displaying their manger scene
which will be enclosed in a fabulous display case which was made by Mr.
Frank Ceglio!
The event will begin at 6pm with inspirational words from members of
our local clergy as well as government officials. There will also be plenty of
music and singing to start off the offical holiday season in Bethpage.
And what would this fabulous holiday celebration be without a visit
from the jolly of man dressed in red. Santa himself will be making a grand
entrance with his pals from the Bethpage Fire Department. Candy canes will
be given out to all the kiddies as well as hot chocolate compliments of
Century 21 Metro Realty.
What makes this event so special is the fact that residents pause for a
moment to gather together to wish each other a happy holiday. Neighbors,
friends and business owners all come together as one community to celebrate
with each other. We all know how busy the holiday season is for
everyone, but it is so important to remember what this season is all about. It
is about good will, giving, and sharing.
So jot down the date and take a moment out of your busy schedule to
celebrate with the Bethpage Chamber of Commerce and your community. It
is a great family night and a wonerful way to celebrate this wonderful town,
this wonderful place we all choose to call home....Bethpage.
Best wishes from your friends at the Bethpage Chamber of Commerce.
