Summer Festival 406
August 11 & 12 -Mark Your Calendar
The Bethpage Chamber of Commerce Festival is busy putting the last
minute touches on Summer Festival 2006. It is hard to believe that in less
than two weeks thousands of local residents, families and friends will be
heading out to participate in what has been deemed as the third largest
Summer Festival on Long Island. The dates for this year s event are
August 11 and 12 from 6pm to midnight and as always the Chamber will
be featuring fabulous rides, which are brought to you by Newton
Amusements. There will also be games of skill and chance as well as plenty
of merchant booths for the young and young at heart. Although sponsorship
for the festival are still coming in the Chamber is ecstatic to announce
that the Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Northrop Grumman have
signed on as platinum sponsors of Summer Festival 2006. They are also
pleased to announce that Cablevision,, Bank of New York, Briar cliffe
College and King Kullen Supermarkets are also generous sponsors of his
year's festival. Without the help of these dedicated and generous sponsors
this festival would not be possible and we thank them all sincerely.
In addition to the rides and games we are proud once again to be able
to light up the skies over Bethpage with a jive-star BAY FIREWORKS
SPECTACULAR on Saturday evening. If you remember last year the show
was breathtaking and we are sure that this year's performance will be even
better as our friends at BAY FIREWORKS prove year after year that they
are true professionals and masters at pyrotechnics.
The Chamber has plenty of entertainment in store for festivalgoers and
they are setting up a seating area so that residents can sit and relax while
enjoying the fabulous entertainment that is planned for the two-day event.
And if you're hungry...well the Chamber promises to fill even the fussiest of
bellies with their fabulous food court featuring everything from pizza to
gyros and everything in between.
What makes this event so special, however, is the fact that it brings the
community of Bethpage together for two days of fun and enjoyment jor
everyone. The anticipation of this annual Festival has become a Bethpage
tradition and it is one that all our children as well as adults anticipate and
talk about all year long. Memories are made at this Festival and the entire
community should take great pride in knowing that this Festival belongs to
them!
So mark the dates on your calendar and bring the entire family to a true
BETHPAGE TRADITION. We'll see you at SUMMER FESTIVAL 2006-
AUGUST 11 and 12 from 6pm to midnight. Don't miss next week's issue of
the Tribune, as we will be featuring our $2 PAY ONE PRICE COUPON as
well as an $8 Coupon good towards the purchase of a sheet of 44
