Our new Bethpage Tribune website www.betlipagetribune.com being utilized by the Tribune staff, (photo by Charlie Razenson)
The Tribune has got some pretty
big news to share and it is news
that we are extremely exeited
about. Several months ago a dear
friend and lifelong Bethpage resident,
Christine Reilly and 1 were
chatting about life in general.
Christine, brave soul that she is,
was going back to school to finish
her degreee while raising 3 children.
Not an easy task by any
means. As a final project for one of
her web design classes, Christine
had the challenging task of finding
a business that did not have a preserve
on the web and create a
wesite for the company. This was
truly a challenging mission since by
now most businesses, even the
smaller ones, have websites. Little
diil Christine know that she was
speaking to one of those small businesses
that was slill stuck in the
"Stone Age!"
For her final project Christine
Reilly designed a website for the
Bethpage Tribune and we couldn't
be prouder or more thankful for the
wonderful work that she did. After
several months of hard work (her
hard work that is) we are elated and
quite proud to introduce our site
www.bethpagetribune.com. I was
amazed at what Christine was able
to do and how she single handedly
designed a website that will be a
huge asset to the Tribune and also a
valuable tool for the Bethpage community.
The site offers a brief history of
the Tribune as well as advertising
and subscription information,
upcoming events and links to
important civic, educational, governmental
and entertainment websites.
We'll even include a BLOG
(coming soon) with editorial content
which you can respond to.
(That's right...now you can yell at
me anytime you want!)
This site means so much to the
Bethpage Tribune and will enable
us to serve our readers and our
community more efficiently. Please
remember, however, that this site is
a work in progress and that changes
will be made along the way. That is
why we hope you will visit our site
and comment on what you like or
dislike about it as well as what you
would like to see included. Believe
me when I say that this has been a
true learning experience and the
Tribune still has a long way to go.
We also invite local organizations
and community groups to contact
us if they would like to have their
website link to ours. It seems like
the DOSSibilties are endless! But
one thing is certian. None of this
would have been possible without
the hard work and dedication of
Christine Reilly and there really are
no words to express just how great-ful
I personally am for all her help.
Her talent, generosity and most
inportantly her freindship cannot be
matched. Plainly put..YOU ROCK
MRS. REILLY and it is no surprise
to us that you received and A on
this project!
So we invite our readers and our
friends in the community to visit
the newest addition to the Bethpage
Tribune family our fabulous new
website www.bethpagelribune.com.
Stop by and sample our new adventure
on the world wide web and let
us know what you think.
We are very excited and let me
just say thrilled to finally be out of
the "Stone Age" and into the light!
