Regarding Bethpage
Community Park Scheduled
To Be Held On June 14
The Town of Oyster Bay has scheduled a Public Information Meeting for
Wednesday, June 14, in the community room of the Bethpage Public Library
to give residents an opportunity to meet with the engineers and other technical
people involved in the development of the remediation plan and ice skating
facility for the Bethpage Community Park.
For the convenience of residents, two sessions have been scheduled. The
afternoon session will be held from 2:00pm - 4:00 pm. The evening session
will run from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. A copy of the Remedial Action Plan (RAP)
for the park is available in the library for review.
Now that the Town has received approval to commence remediation on a
portion of the Park, they want to move forward without delay so that construction
on the new rink, which is scheduled to open November 2007, can
begin.

Children Making A Difference
In Celebration of Earth Day
It is so nice to hear about children taking the time to make a difference in
their community and in this case their world! Bethpage residents Steven and
Andrew Sciglibaglio and their i» nisin Michael hazard celebrated Earth Day
2006 in a very admirable way! The boys decided to cleanup a wooded area in
their neighborhood. They collected 10 bags of trash, 2 recycling cans of bottles,
a pair of shutters, some pipes and a wooden soldier.
Congratulations to this hard working and dedicated group of boys who
proved that everyone can mal. difference. They certainly DID!
