Northrop Grumman Awarded $419
Million Contract to Build Destroyer
65 Years of Lo\e
The U.S. Navy has awarded
Northrop Grumman Corporation's
(NYSE:NOC) Ship Systems sector a
contract to build an Arleigh Burke
(DDG 51) class Aegis-guided missile
destroyer. The contract to build the
destroyer, DDG 107, is valued at
more than $419 million dollars.
The destroyer is the third of a
four-ship multiyear procurement
contract awarded to Ship Systems in
September 2002. The multiyear
procurement contract includes an
opportunity for a fifth ship, for a total
potential contract value of more than
$2 billion.

Northrop Grumman's Ship
Systems sector includes primary
operations in Pascagoula and
Gulfport, Miss., New Orleans and
Tallulah, LA; as well as a network of
fleet support offices in the U.S. and
Japan. The sector, which currently
employs more than 19,000
shipbuilding professionals, is one of
the nation's leading full-service
systems companies for the design,
engineering, construction, and life-cycle
support of major surface ships
for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard
and international navies, and for
commercial vessels of all types.
Fleet Bank Awards
$5000 Grant to ACLD
Adults and Children with
Learning and Developmental
Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD) received a
$5,000 grant from Fleet Bank. The
money will be used to promote
opportunities for advancement in
the workplace for individuals with
developmental disabilities.
ACLD's Vocational Career Center
provides diagnostic vocational
evaluation and supported
employment services including job
development, job placement, job
coaching and travel training. The
Center also works with local school
districts to provide vocational
preparation for children with
disabilities from middle school
through high school. Over 200
ACLD consumers are currently
competitively employed.
'The relationship between ACLD
and Fleet Bank is an excellent

with the corporate community," said
Aaron Liebowitz, Executive Director
of ACLD. "We are pleased to have

Special anniversary wishes are sent to Bruno Filippelli and
Edith Filippelli who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary
on January 15. Bruno and Edith are the parents of John
Filippelli and Jean Vanturini as well as the grandparents of 4
and great-grandparents of 6. Bruno and Edith are quite active
in the community of Bethpage and can be seen at meetings of
the Republican Club, Senior Citizens Club or Veterans Club.
Bruno is also an usher at St. Martin of Tours.
