Beihpage Honors its High Achievers
Bethpage High School recently honored students who have received awards and honors for excellence in various academic
competitions/contests:
Annual Theodore Roosevelt Speaking Contest: Bethpage
High School Social Studies teacher Alan Weber (far left) and
Bethpage Director of Social Studies Jody Smith (far right)
congratulate Bethpage High School students who participated
in the Annual President Theodore Roosevelt Public Speaking
Contest (l-r) Jeffrey Katz, Geprge Papadopoulos, Ian Peikon,
James Potter, and Michael Zolli. Jeffrey took third place overall
for his speech "Theodore Roosevelt: Motivated!" He recited
his speech for the community at a recent Board of Education
meeting.
History Day: Bethpage High School Social Studies teacher

place honors for their participation at History Day, held at
Hofstra University (l-r) Wendell Cheung, Rahul Shah, and
Brendan Spears. Missing from the photo is Nicholas Post, who
received 1st place honors for a documentary he created on
Zheng He an explorer from China.
Voice of Democracy Contest: Bethpage High School Social
