On September 11, 2001, Taylor
Capri Grey was born into this world
at 9:14 am, just minutes before an
airplane crashed into tower #2 in
New York City. (For many this day
brings emotions of grief, sorrow and
anger. For the Grey family this day
also brings thankfulness, joy and
hope with the birth of their daughter.)
Taylor's birth is a unique one.
She is the youngest of 5 living
generations. She is pictured here
with her Great-great grandma
Frances, age 93, Great grandpa Jack
Mendola, age 72 (a Bethpage
resident for 36 years.), Grandpa Paul
Mendola, age 51 (a former student at
Bethpage High), and her mother
Tara who 28 years ago was also a
fifth generation baby. "We have been
blessed by the joy Taylor has
brought to the family."
It isn't always easy to
understand why tragedies happen
such as the one this nation
experienced on September 11. "We
believe Taylor was born two weeks
late so that God could show us, that
in the midst of an American tragedy,
He wants life to continue."
Each year, on this day, the Grey
household, along with their families
and friends, will be reminded of hope
and the precious gift of love and live
"We continue to keep in prayer the
people of our nation and the hope of
this world."
