Golden Eagles Clinch A Playoff Spot World Trade Center Memorial
Garden Dedicated at Campagne
The Golden Eagles' defense pitched a shutout against Glen Cove
enroute to a spot in the Long Island Football playoffs and a chance to
defend their Conference III title.

The Long Island Conference III
Champion Bethpage Golden Eagles
clinched a spot in the Long Island
High School Football Playoffs this
week with a convincing 19-0 victory
over Glen Cove. Bethpage running
back Vinnie Valente led the way with
two touchdown scores of 10 and 17
yards. Quarterback Matt Gabbola
added a 10-yard rushing score. The
Golden Eagles finished the regular
season with a record of 6-2 and will
take on 7-1 Lynbrook in the
Conference III semifinals this Friday
at Hofstra Stadium.

Charles Campagne students plant tulip bulbs and place painted
stones and a wreath at the school's new memorial garden in honor of
Bethpage residents who lost their lives in the September 11 attack on
the World Trade Center.

The Charles Campagne
Elementary School PTA
Beautification Committee recently
dedicated a garden in memory of the
victims of the September 11 attack
on the World Trade Center.
Students, staff, and members of the
Campagne families personally
affected by the tragedy were on
hand to unveil the garden, which is
located on the school's front lawn.
The children planted tulip bulbs
around the school flagpole, and
placed a wreath and two stones
painted in red, white and blue at the
site. Students painted the messages
"America the Beautiful" and "United
We Stand" on the stones.
The PAL Bethpage U12 girls travel team took 4 impressive straight
victories to place 1st in the f ;lumbus Day North Hempstead
Tournament.
