VOL. 39 NO. 40 SERVING BETHPACE, ISLAND TREES, OLD BETHPAGE, PLAINVIEW, SEAFORD AND PLAJNEDCE FORTY CENTS WE PRAY
ever forget the events of September 11, 2001, a day that
yp "Black Tuesday/5 Horror, tragedy, chaos, disaster and
great Nation were forced to endure the worst act of
lives lost, dreams shattered at the hands
Jjd after seeing the fruition of their hate,
artache and the pain that so many have
mimaginable. All of us as Americans are
of life and destruction. Every one of us
sscaped unhurt, some injured, some mise-i
come home to their loved ones. We mourn
the loss with aft our heart© jrfrf'Wpray with all our might that God will bring
comfort and healing # t f ^ S # 4 i S f e have lost loved ones in this horrific crime
against America. God b l e l | l l p | | p ^ dedicated firemen and women as well as
rescue workers, police and mel^^Srsonnel who have worked diligently to try
and rescue those injured and may S i d hold all those killed in this horrible tragedy
as well as their families and friends firmly in the palm of his hand. They all are
heroes, as too, are all Americans who will and have helped in a multitude of ways.
We look at the skyline of New York City and there is a void in what we once
viewed as a treasured landmark. The void however that all of us feel even more
deeply is in our hearts, in our minds and in our souls. This is a great Nation that
we all must be proud to be a part of. We must unite as one and prove to ourselves
and the rest of world that America can and will pull together to mend and overcome
this barbaric act of hatred. We must not allow those responsible for this
act of undescribable violence to believe for one moment that they have won in
breaking the unbeatable spirit of all Americans. THE LOVE IN ALL OUR HEARTS
FOR EACH OTHER AND OUR COUNTRY CAN AND WILL PULL US THROUGH WHAT
IS THE DARKEST HOUR FOR OUR NATION. PLEASE, I URGE EVERY PERSON WHO
READS THIS NEWSPAPER TO FLY YOUR FLAG AS A SYMBOL OF UNITY, AS A
SYMBOL OF RESPECT AND AS A SYMBOL OF THE SPIRIT AND DEDICATION THAT
THIS GREAT COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON AND CONTINUES TO EXEMPLIFY.
May God Bless us all and our country. Together We Pray, together We Mend.
together We Stand.
