King Congratulates
Bethpage Resident
Congressman Pete King (R-Seaford) congratulates (I to r) Thomas
Shea of Bethpage for earning a Congressional Nomination to the
United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Tom presently
attends Valley Forge Military Academy. Joseph Palumbo also earned a
Congressional Nomination to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Joseph attends Chaminade High School.
Kirsch Joins
Briarcliffe College
Briarcliffe College Dean of
Continuing Education Edward P.
Mangano today announced that
veteran business executive
Lawrence I. Kirsch has joined the
Briarcliffe staff as a corporate
liaison. In his new position, Mr.
Kirsch will interface with area
businesses to ensure that the
training programs offered by
Briarcliffe meet the needs of Long
Island's growing high-tech
industries.
"Briarcliffe prides itself on a
strong business program, and
Larry's addition to our staff will have
a very positive impact both on the
guality and the content of the
training we offer," said Dean
Mangano. "He brings nearly 20 years
of successful business, sales and
marketing experience to our college,
and we are genuinely thrilled to have
him on board."
Kirsch most recently served as
CEO at Visionary
Telecommunications Technologies
of Huntington, where he was
responsible for managing all aspects

CHANGE IN
BOARD OF ED MEETING
The Bethpage Board of
Education has announced that the
location for January 23 public Board
of Education meeting has been
changed. The meeting, originally
scheduled to take place at its regular
location in the Bethpage High School
Little Theatre, has been moved to
the Central Boulevard Elementary
School cafeteria. Central Boulevard
School is located on Central
Boulevard in Bethpage For
directions, please call the school at
738-3813 The meeting date and time
have not changed The meeting will
begin at 8:00 p.m As always, the
community is invited to attend

Bethpage High School recently
did their part to help replenish Long
Island's diminishing supply of blood
The school's Student Civic
Association recently sponsored a
blood drive at the high school to
benefit Long Island Blood
Association. Many Student CIVIC
members helped out by serving
refreshments and entertaining
donors, which consisted of faculty,
students, parents, and community
members The Bethpage High
School Student Civic Association
plans to conduct another blood drive
