The Bethpage community has a long wonderful history of caring for people
working together both publicly and privately for the betterment of all. Gary
Bretton Bretton's Bowl, Bethpage Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club are
some of those people and organizations. Many people in Dist. 21 have been
helped who were afflicted with cancer by Brettons Bowl and now the NFCCF
Dist. 21 fund will hopefully step in to continue that work and many more families
with the help of SPEC, as well.
Norma Farrar, who this fund is named in memory of, was one of those people
who was always helping caring and donating her time. She was a resident, 40
yrs., mother, grandmother, wife, teacher, creator of Norma's School of Dance,
Bethpage. She was named "The Trail Blazer for the New Millennium" by
Nassau County Legislature in 1999 and passed away from melanoma cancer in
January 1999. This is her legacy to all of us, to her neighbors, family and friends
to fight this dreadful disease.
The NFCCF Dist. 21 Community Sale is one of the most important events
you and your families will ever participate in. Remember cancer has no preference
of age, sex or denomination.
Don't miss this opportunity to help us care for the residents of District 21. Fill
