PAL Football Luncheon St. Patricks Day Parade
Quickly Approaches
Nassau County Legislator Ed Mangano presents Ray Caivano with
a plaque honoring his service to the town of Bethpage and the PAL as
Gary Bretton, PAL Commissioner and Marie and Sam CaivanO look on.
Gary Bretton PAL Commissioner, and Nassau County Legislator Ed
Mangano pose with Mr. And Mrs. Anthony Campagne as they present
him with a Nassau County Citation for collecting 10,000 cans which
raised $500 for the Bretton Benefit Bowl.
On January 23 the Bethpage
PAL football players gathered together
at the Crest Hollow Country
Club where they each received their
special football trophies. The brunch,
which was fit for a king, attracted hundreds
of PAL families and players who
came out to this annual event which is
hosted by the PAL and put together
with love and care by the Board of the
PAL.
This year's event was special in
many ways although the highlight of
the day was in the honoring of 2 very
special men who went above and beyond
for the PAL and the Bethpage
Community.
First to be honored was Anthony
Campagne who at 72 years old collected
10,000 cans and turned them
into cash for the Annual Bretton's
Benefit Bowl. This was truly an amazing
endeavor which required hours of
hard work and lots of leg work. He and
his lovely wife received a standing
ovation as he and she very much deserved.
