Mangano Attends
Installation of Officers
Legislator Edward P. Mangano (R-Bethpage, 17th L.D.) (left) attended
the VFW Post No. 4987 Installation of Officers held at the Bethpage
Fire House. At the ceremony, Legislator Mangano presented a Nassau
County Legislative Citation to Outgoing Commander Robert L. Totone.
30TH ANNIVERSARY
CELEBRATION
OF LUNAR MODULE
The 30th anniversary of the
landing of the Lunar Module
designed and manufactured in
Bethpage takes place this July. To
commemorate this exciting event
the Central Park Historical Society
and the Bethpage Public Library
invite you to join in a celebration at
the library on Tuesday, July 20th at
7:30 P.M.
Ross Fleisig, Grumman's LM-5
Spacecraft team Manager will look
back on one of the most amazing
accomplishments- of the twentieth
century. He will cover mission and
design considerations in a vehicle
that couldn't be completely tested
on earth and that we could not let
fail. It happened here in Bethpage!
Plan to join in the celebration!
See exhibits, displays and a one
tenth scale model. Meet some of
the participants in this great
venture. There will be refreshments
- admission is free and everyone is
welcome.
