America's Legislators Back to

Schwarting Elem.
New York State Assemblyman
Steve Labriola (R, Massapequa)
recently participated in "America's
Legislators Back to School Week"
created and sponsored by the
National Conference of State
Legislators. The program
encourages legislators to visit
school classrooms and talk with
students about what it like to be a
member of the state legislature.
Mr. Labriola discussed the role of
a New York State Assemblyman,
how bills become laws and
answered many questions from the
students.
By visiting the schools within my
12th Assembly District it provided
me the opportunity to meet
personally with my young
constituents and learn first hand
some of their concerns," stated
Assemblyman Labriola.
"Such interaction with our
students can do much to reinforce
and reaffirm the principles and
freedoms that this great Nation
stands for," concluded Labriola.
