A MIRACLE DON'T MISS
BETHPAGE
DAY
1996
Almost one year ago Kathy
and Corey Comerford were
elated at the arrival of their
third child Katherine. And
while last year I am sure many
were blessed with children the
arrival of Katherine truly was a
miracle. You see Kathy
Comerford was at her office in
Manhattan when suddenly on
her way to lunch, she
hemorrhaged and collapsed on
the sidewalk outside of her
building. Thanks to the help of
a co-worker and yes, passersby
on the street, Kathy was
brought to the hospital with
virtually no time to spare. Not
only was she about to deliver
her child; they both were in
danger of losing their lives.
We are happy to announce
that there was a truly happy
ending to this story and that
one year later the entire
Comerford clan is celebrating
Katherine's first birthday. They
certainly are celebrating a
miracle...one year later!
MIRACLES ARE NEVER SMALL
by Kathy Comerford
Miracles come short or tall,
But no miracle is ever small
Our miracle came one day,
Unexpected in every way.
Katherine Mary, brand new and safe,
Thanks to many and an act of faith.
Doctors, Nurses and EMT's,
Made our journey with haste and speed
Family and friends, love sincere,
Helped me put down all my fear.
A baby was born with not much chance
To survive and be healthy,
To ever walk, run or dance.
But God knew how loved she'd be,
No matter what, Katherine was part
Of our family.
God granted a miracle that day.
We had a perfect healthy daughter
In every way.
To all of you who prayed and prayed,
God heard and now I feel I was repaid.
Support and love from everywhere,
God's gift of life you should always care,
To hold our children close by day
And sing them songs so they may know,
That miracles short or tall...
Their lives are a miracle never small
