HEALEY NAMED TO
HONOR ROLL
Assemblyman Philip Healey has
been named to the 1995 "Education
Reform Honor Roll", as
recorded by United New Yorkers
for Choice in Education (UNYCE).
Mr. Timothy P. Mulhearn, president
of UNYCE, announced this
year's honor roll, which also
includes five other Long Island
legislators. These are Assemblymen
Gregory Becker and Michael
Balboni, both of Nassau County,
Sen. Owen Johnson, and Assem-blymen
Thomas Barraga and
Robert Wertz, all of Suffolk
County. Six New York City and
upstate legislators, along with one
retired Assemblywoman, were
also honored by inclusion on this
list. Nassau County District Attorney
Denis Dillon also received
honorable mention. These public
officials were selected for this
honor because of their support for
a school voucher system for New

THE NEW RAG-MUFFIN PARADE
-AND DON'T MISS-which
will take place in the park (parade route will
remain in the park) at 12 Noon. Just dress the kiddies in
old clothes, their Halloween costume or no costume at
all. Each child participating will receive a Flag at the start
of the parade as well as a Halloween Bag and arm band.
In fact their pictures will appear in the Bethpage Tribune

A Hew Flag Flies In Bethpage

PHOTO - Bethpage residents Paul Masi, left, and Ron Reardon, center,
members of the Vietnam Veterans of American, Nassau County Chapter
$82, present a new POW/MIA flag to Gary Bretton, Vice President
of the Bethpage Chamber of Commerce. The presentation took place
last Saturday, where the new flag will fly with "Old Glory", at the new
flagpole recently erected by the Chamber on Broadway.
Muscarella Visits Bethpage
Councilman Joseph Muscarella, left, whose campaign to return to the
Town of Oyster Bay Board is in full swing, recently visited the Bethpage
Republican Club and President Buddy Mazzara. Mr. Muscarella, a
Councilman since May 1995 and a successful businessman, thanked
the members for their support and pledge to work toward his November
7th election.
